I have a high PR page linking to one of my sites. Yet the link does not show up when I do link: www.mysite.com
The link is a simple href.

The high PR page is in google but it has funny query string stuff on it like.
[widget.com...]

Is there a way to tell if google has at least recognized the links in the high PR page?

Why not display the page in your browser, and use the toolbar Page Info - Cached Snapshot of Page. That should tell you if it's in the index.

I get a message that says
Your search - cache:http://www.widget.com/make?scm+keyword1,%20keyword2 - did not match any documents.

I do not see any meta tags like "index, nofollow", "nocache" etc...

I would think my link on this high PR page would count as a backlink to my site. Yet the toolbar and my actual serps suggest otherwise.

I checked other sites that the high PR page is linking to. Out of my small sample it did no show up as a backlink to the other sites either.

Do a search in google for site:www.widget.com word . Make sure the word you use is on every page of their site i.e the company name.

Then check if they have pages listed in the format:

[widget.com...]

If they don't then it's probably a problem with google not being able to spider those sort of URL's. If they do then it could be a number of reasons, possibly the page is new and hasn't been spidered yet.
