No google.co.uk listing

I submitted my site to Google manually last week and the other day it started showing up in Google.com in first position. A search on Google.co.uk turns up nothing. I've searched and read through previous post but they all seem to imply that a .com will show up in Google.co.uk if it is hosted in the UK. Well this is exactly the situation for my site...but no listing whatsoever. Can anyone offer any insight?

Often, when I've been asked to look into this problem it turns out that US hosting has been bought instead of UK hosting.

In rarer cases, you may find that it is in the UK and that no .com domains on the IP are in Google's UK search. The alltheweb.com search is the easiest way to check. If so, it would be interested if you could give some indication of the IP record says (eg. country, telephone, postal/zip code, etc.)

In my experience and looking at current SERp's, Google UK is not as up to date as www.google.com.

I would allow a few weeks for them to show up.
