This is the only site I've ever had a problem getting listed by Google, I submitted to DMOZ in Feb, and the site has been in the Google directory since May. If I type in theDonaim.com or www.thedomain.com - it shows up in the search results...but thats it.

The site is 20-30 pages, clean, NO SPAM, and google-friendly with atleast 3 PR4 backlinks. Do I just continue to be patient?

Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions!

If you show up in the search results for any query, including www.mydomain.com then you're in the index. Google will now regularly come calling, so work on improving and developing your site content, optimising for your targeted search queries and gaining more on-topic incoming links. I don't think you've got a problem.

I have similar problem, with my site www.villadata.com which has been in the Google index since April.

Searching on link:www.villadata.com results in one site found, whereas we have over 30 links, some with a PR4.

No other pages other than the index page are listed.

Searching on a term which is included in the title tag does not find my site.

Any help please. I'm at my wits end.

I'd work on quality link to your site - ATW shows only 4 that are unrelated to your own site, and Google shows just 1.

P.S. Rules of WW state that you should not publish URL's on the board - so you might wish to edit your message.

Cheers

Could there ever be a problem if you change the homepage from index.htm to default.htm? I can't imagine there would be.

If I type in donaim/subpage.htm into Google: I get- Sorry, no information is available for the URL....

So, wouldn't that mean that the site is not completely indexed?

Google finds the homepage but no subpages.

Does the homepage link to the subpages with a straight HTML (i.e. not a javascript) link? Sometimes the googlebot won't index the whole of a site straight away, especially if the site PR is lower.

I have a site where link: shows only one result, but using inurl: shows a lot more external pages (as well as all of the internal pages). I don't know why inurl: shows more external pages than link: does.

Yes, straight HTML., the site is does not have any javascript dropdown lists or any ASP, database etc..
It is scrictly HTML with a sitemap on each page.

(I'm resubmitting this post -hoping to get some help)

AHHH - I'm running out of excuses to tell my client.
This is the only site I've ever had a problem getting listed by Google, I submitted to DMOZ in Feb, and the site has been in the Google directory since April. Thought it was all down hill from there. BUT I'm STUCK in the Directory only! If I type in "www.thedomain.com" into Google - it shows up in the search results, but thats all the luck I've had. But, it's weird because if enter "www.thedomain.com" in the Google directory search - NOTHING, and its been like this since May.

The site is 25-30 pages, clean, NO SPAM and NO javascript drop-down menu - scrictly HTML with a link to a sitemap on each page. The site is google-friendly with atleast 3 PR4 backlinks. Should I just continue to be patient?

Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions!

Hi beantown, it's a bit hard guessing what the problem could be. Are you seeing any visits from the Googlebot at all in your serps? If so, are they always stopping on the front page or continuing? Is there something wrong with the robots.txt file maybe?

You shouldn't need more links, because a few pr4s are more than enough generally. Are these backlinks showing in the link:www.mydomain.com search?

Anyway, it's hard guessing, especially when you say that everything is Google friendly - that doesn't leave much room for suggestions!
