You are dreaming, all data centers except sj and fi when checked by IP address show the www results!
No real update as of this time!
With the wierdness of the unupdate, I've been checking results on the -sj, -fi, -ex, whatever servers, and noticed something interesting:
Right now, for me, only the -ex server is "recognizing" widget.com as being the same as www.widget.com. Every other server has "issues" with the www/non-www. It's also the only server that's providing the "if you know this domain exists, click here to go to it now" link for non-indexed domain names, above the "click here for sites that contain the term domain.com"...
I'm also noticing a lot more pages --of my sites-- indexed in -ex than -sj/-fi/www, though it's still not everything that was deepcrawled in April.
Wierd.
It was when I had just woken up but im a morning person so trust me they did :)
I was searching for a particular Phrase X in www, and the 1st page showed "Results 1 - 10 of about 99,100". When I proceeded to the 2nd page it became "Results 11 - 20 of about 102,000". I was for moment thinking dancing has begun (hold back pals ;)). When I checked for Yahoo backlinks to confirm, it was still the old trash :( What can I infer from this? Is this pretty usual or..?

I have new site since mid to late march. It has gotten a little freshbot traffic, but was not deep crawled before the previous update. Not indexed, no backlinks shown and greybar.
So after the last update, it was crawled by deepbot, many hundreds of pages.
None of these pages show up in any of the datacenters right now and no backlinks either.

I realize that we're seeing something different with Google's update this time around; but honestly folks, don't you long for the "5 days and we're done" times?
I believe the proper saying would be: "Apprehension is much better than panic."

Google has a (typical of Google) well implemented DNS system.
Do your own research - here on other posts - or using an IP traceroute/ ping tool - www2 and www3 have been redirected for days.
Thats the clue we are chasing.......
time to move on and wait until www moves
Don't forget people that Google, being a high traffic website, uses round robin DNS. Each time you perform a DNS request for www.google.com you could be forwarded to any of the datacenters. This should explain why some of you are seeing on and off results.
Shall we just keep re-quoting that every 5 messages or so?
