Hi,

I can see different results on Google servers.
The backward links for Yahoo in main is 661,000, whereas in 2 & 3 is 384,000. Can anyone else confirm this too.

I am in India

Wow! You're right! The update! It's happening!

What time zone is it in India, about May 3rd? :)

Easy there Monkscuba, this is an update like no other. Read over some of the existing threads to get the full picture. It started here with what at the time seemed to be some testing on one of Google's data centres - [webmasterworld.com...]

The update does not start since www3 shows different resutls. I think www3 is testing new algorithm, the allinurl:mydomain.com shows www3 dropped all my high PR webpages and only reserved new indexed pages. Mydomain.com has a PR6 and all dropped pages are unique and useful, and no any spam on it. That is a personal site. So I believe Google must NOT drop them, and the results are testing.

Personally, I don't think there will be a "dance" ever again, if google ultimately are happy with this new algo.

I think this is a whole new world for google.

I think the dance tools and all related topics on that subject have just become irrelevant.

But I don't think we'll really know for sure until next month.

"Personally, I don't think there will be a "dance" ever again"

I hope not. Gets me all tired out. All that activity, usually accompanied by loud music, people shaking their bodies in a lewd suggestive manner. Who let the dogs out?

I agree also .
Once they have tested on the fly updating why would there be another dance.? Isnt that a Donna Summer song "Last Dance"

Guys

GoogleGuy said that the data on sj was incomplete, needed backlinks, needed PR and neeeded spamshots, not exactly what I would call an "update".

Some "update" threads took off in the erroneous (imo) assumption that sj was the update.

Go back to work.

Agree with john316. The algo seems ready, but the data isn't there. I also don't see them getting rid of dances, it will just be different. This algo like all algos is incomplete. For Google to say this is it we only need to add more data every month would be naive. They have a constant battle keeping their results relevent for their searchers.

Yup - its a case of go back to work. I think a lot of people realised Monday afternoon that this wasn't going to be over/settled anytime soon and did just that - me included.

It is easier said than done though...
