Google indexes Zeal.com categories

But do the links increase pagerank?

I have been doing a bit of investigating and find that most zeal categories are indexed by google (have a google cache etc).

However "link:www.site-from-zeal.com zeal" shows no results. Perhaps this is because zeal uses jhtml pages to redirect outgoing visitors (http://www.zeal.com/exit.jhtml?cid=XXXXXX&wid=XXXXXX&so=&xr=/zeal-eferring-URI)?

Does this mean that zeal links don't share pagerank?

If I remember correctly, Zeal tells Google not to index many of its pages via the robot.txt file (especially the ones that will contain links to your pages).

Exit.jhtml is specifically blocked. So Google cannot index the pages directly.

I have been told, however, that Google indexes the Looksmart directory ... which is the same as the Zeal directory.
