Can I exclude only home page to Index?

Hallo, can I put this in my home page(www.myhomepage.com)

<meta name="robots" content="noindex, follow">?

I want to:

1) Google NOINDEX this pages
2) Google follows ALL links
3) Google INDEX all pages linked to HomePage

Is this correct or I risk that also deeper pages will be not in the index?
