Every page that google crawled for the company I work for, there is no description showing up on any page.

I have read the meta tag description field doesn't really matter to Google anymore, and it looks for text...is this correct?

I am not the webmaster for the site, but trying to learn this stuff on my own. The only thing I could see there is classes identified for all text and links throughout the site. This wouldn't matter, would it?

The site is also all completely tables throughout the whole site. And the background is white, the table back ground is blue, and the text in the table is white. Could this be seen as same text to background coloring?

Thanks for any help.

Try using a sim spider tool to see what the bots *might* be seeing when they visit your pages. It could just be that google hasn't fully indexed your pages yet. Good luck!
