216.239, it matches up, but it dosen't have the googlebot tag
or does that only show up for fresh?
I traced the ip back to google

Do you happen to use adwords? We've found that employees browsing our adwords urls tend to show a google ip and IE user agent.

I had the google freshbot hit my robots file and an orphan file a couple days ago. It didn't hit anything IMPORTANT on my site, and the file it freshed didn't show up.

I was on google once for a few days then I was dropped(I think I might have spammed in my title tag by accident). Now I am wondering whether I was banned or not for it. But I guess if I was, the freshbot wouldn't come to my site(even an orphaned file)?

There has been no sign of deepbot in my logs for a long time. I really hope I didn't get banned for a small title problem =/

Markis00, I find it hard to believe you may have been banned for your title problem which you describe as "small" How small was this problem? Also, what is the last date you show googlebot in your logs?

My "small" title problem was I repeated the keyword guelph about oh...7 times lol. As for the googlebot, it freshed me about 3-4 days ago, but only an orphan page that is outdated and my robots file. Which has nothing in it.
