Google Directory links to my blog title, but not my archives or posts

Google Directory indexes my blog title, but it doesn't index either my current posts or archive. The Blogger.pro Yahoo discussion group says that Blogger uses java script to refer to Archives in the blog template (which Google doesn't "read").

Can anyone give me some code I can embed in my template which Directory can "read." Also, can you tell me where within the template I should insert it?

Thanks, Richard

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]

Do you mean the Google directory: directory.google.com or the normal Google search results?

Although this is probably a better question for a Blogger forum, I believe that archive pages have the following naming conventions (at least if hosted at blogspot.com):

Main Archive Summary Page (which has non-JS links to all archives):

[yourblogame.blogspot.com...]

Create at static link to the above will allow Google to spider all your archives (but that doesn't necessary mean that it will)...

In reply to Craig:

I mean directory.google.com, the one connected to DMOZ.

Perhaps I don't understand the theory behind Directory & how it searches for sites. What types of terms or phrases do you type in to try to find out if Directory is tracking your blog? If you quote a phrase fr. a particular post will it possibly find it; or is Directory search based on titles & general phrases descriptive of my content like "Mideast peace" or "nuclear disarmament?"

In reply to Swerve:

I looked for something like the code you provided below in my blog template & didn't find anything. My Archive link in the blog template looks like this (which is nothing like what you wrote):

<a href="<$BlogArchiveFileName$>" class="links">ARCHIVES</a><br><br><br>

I don't think Directory could pick up anything fr. this code, do you? Do you think I should add the code you wrote & see what happens? If I do add the code, does it matter where I place it in the template?

I heard fr. another person online yesterday who said that "Your code looks fine. It does not appear you are using JavaScript to generate the links, but plain HTML anyway. Google will pick it up eventually."

Another question, if I CAN find my blog on Google's general web search does Directory use the same techniques & protocol for its searches; or are these 2 different search protocols? I find that Google web search does find my blog both by title & (very rarely) by quoting text fr. my blog posts. But I can't locate my blog (except by title) via Directory. I wonder whether there's something wrong w. the way Directory is picking up by blog or whether this is merely a fluke?

What exactly are you asking about the google directory?

If your site is placed inside of the directory than you will find ONE link to your home page. Not multiple links to each article.

Every site gets ONE link inside of the google directory.

Are you speaking in regards to the regular google index(google.com) or the directory located at directory.google.com?
