Two different sites sharing the same IP b/c of Ensim?

I'm forced to do so by my hosting company

Hi, I just informed my hosting company (rackshack) to create another IP address for my new site. However, they refused my request for a new IP, because they said I can simply set up 'name-based server site' for my new domain. (My server's running Ensim FYI.) Currently, my IP cannot point to my website. Instead it points to my admin interface. So, I was wondering if I do set up the new site, how will Google see this? Two sites (very different content) sharing the same IP address?

Anyone with hosting experience has a say on this?

GoogleGuy, could you also enlighten us on this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Irock, perhaps I'm missing an important point, but in any shared hosting environment you have several, somtimes thousands of domains sharing the same IP.

Actually, I've my own server. That IP is a dedicated IP address.

So, IMHO, how will Google treat my sites in such circumstances?

Thanks again!

Google will treat your sites as 2 different sites:

Irock, the point is it doesn't matter if it's your own server or not. Shareing an IP, when done correctly, is no problem at all. If it were, 90% of the web would be in trouble.
It's only a question of the correct technical setup of the server.
