Questions about IP changes

Hi. I have two sites hosted with Directnic. This host has changed the IP. Now I locate my sites through keywords via search, but if I search the domain name then the title, description and cache-info is not correct (it is a Directnic page). I think Google is searching for the web site in the old IP. For example: My domain is www.domain-name.com. If I search "domain-name" with Google my site is the first in the index but the title is "Under construction", the description is bad and the cache-info is a Directnic error page. If I search keywords the title and description are correct but the cache-info is the Directnic error page. What is happening? Is this a bad symptom for the next major indexing? Will be my site dropped? Does anybody know how long it takes for Google to update the new IP from the DNS address? Can Google find the new IP before its next major indexing? If this is an IP problem then a lot of sites will be affected in the next crawling because all the domains hosted in Directnic have changed the IP.

Thank you and congratulations for this great forum.

There is little chance the problem will be fixed during the crawl that is currently taking place.

Google runs its own DNS cache and they do not update it as often as an ISP does. But it will get straightened out.

My two sites have been dropped today. They are not in the index. There is enough good external links. I´m nervous. Please Googleguy, do you know if Google will update the DNS cache soon? Can I do anything helping Google to associate my domain with the new IP?
