Just moved to a new host...

Will Googlebot find me?

I remember reading a post about moving to a new host and google going by ip address. I just moved to a new host on April 9th and it seems the deep crawl started just a couple of days after that.

I still have my old site on the old server, but I didn't have a static ip for the site. I haven't had googlebot hit me yet for the deepcrawl on either space so I'm kinda worried.

Is there any way to push googlebot to hit the new space or will it hit the old one? Could I end up being nuked from google after next months update?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If you leave the old site up until you see the Googlebot in your new logs you should be just fine.

It used to take Google a long time to update their DNS info, but lately they have updated very quickly. There is no way to speed up the process.

I switched hosts in January, and Googlebot found the new one within 6 days.

If the old IP isn't working right now, you may or may not get booted.
