Serps all over the shop

Any One See This?

OK, this is my first update for my own website - have previously worked on websites at work but not looked at the serps after the update so closely.

I assume that the update is all over now?

However, I am still seeing vastly different SERPS from the different data centres - Freshbot results in some but not others - I seem to have dropped to my positions before the update in www1.

I have a different result in www-va and another different result in www-sj....

And different results in Yahoo.

Dont all datacentres supposed to show the same results at the end?

Sorry for stupid questions

Not at all a stupid question.

Data centres may have slightly different databases. For some search phrases the differences may be rather significant.

I have found that the results on -sj don't appear on google itself (since the last dance, from my knowledge). rather they seem to be the current serps for alexa.

<edit>the current yahoo serps are on www-sj too. </edit>

Sometimes it takes two updates to be really settled in on Google.

Well, I have many webpages, almost 4 years active and I am experiencing the same thing - in fact I just opened a couple of different Google search windows and am getting vastly different results on each. Something's up!

I see older versions of my site (and older rankings) on www.google.com since today.

On www2.google.com and www3.google.com I see the new info that was on www.google.com since last sunday.

I don't understand why or how.

Rankings seem to be fluctuating and different on Google and AOL from YAHOO!, aside from the the usual difference in YAHOO! since they only show one listing per site instead of 2 like Google sometimes does.

possibly that you are seeing different databases as Google begins serving up the latest "fresh pages".

Yesterday and today seem to have brought huge changes. Much larger than the normal everflux stuff I am used to.

I ahve a PR 6 page that has been indexed for some tome and it fell hundreds of positions on a few phrases while staying put on others. Very strange

Skibum,

Go and check your results on www-sj.google.com...

versus your Yahoo! results.
