Variables of product and different pages

Its hard to say but Ill use the old Widgets ,I think its widgets, anyway.......

Lets say I have 10 categories of widgets:

Custom widgets,
Chrome widgets
alloy widgets
truck widgets
Car widgets
and

Custom blue widgets
Chrome blue widgets
alloy blue widgets
truck blue widgets
Car blue widgets

Now its getting a little tough to optimize for all on the Front Page however I dont want to, or rather dont want to get any penalties, for making a similar page with these widgets.

So my questions how can I make a simlar page and not get penalized or in trouble with google. Or better yet what would you do in this case scenario :)

Well, you might buy adwords :) , but I guess that this was not the answer that you were asking for?

I think that I would build each page of a number of elements and then use SSI for those elements that were the same on several pages.
