I am a UK nildram user and have found that when I attempt to access www.google.com, I get www.google.nl

I know that the .co.uk site is there as an alternative, but why the redirect?

Hello Lioness,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]

Google uses cookies to set your preferences. You should be able to redirect yourself back to google.com by clicking the "Google in english" option at the bottom of the Google.nl page.

I am aware how to reset it, sorry it it seemed like I was asking for support! Just wondered if anyone was aware why uk users are redirected to .nl, surely .co.uk is more logical? Most people in the uk have English as a first language..?

Maybe you should contact the service provider to check things on their end.

Actually, Lioness try using a different browser and see if you get the same effect.
