Up in google Down in Inktomi

Not that i really care....at the moment, but things do change.

I had great results in moving up 5 pages in the last Google update but i just checked my rankings on some other engines and noticed that some were steady....results are average to poor but i noticed in Inktomi i droped 15 results...anyone else see similar and does anyone find that if there results go up or down in Google inktomi or the other engines follow the same pattern?

yes - i see the same thing. in fact since i have made a few paid inclusions to inktomi i have found that i can't even find a number of my pages that had been included as non pay and the ones i do pay for not ranking anywhere near the same as the same pages in google. very odd.

I too have seen one of my sites drop in MSN (Inktomi). I found a typo in the keywords on the index page so one of the keywords never showed up in the page text. I believe Inktomi is penalizing my entire site for this tpyo.

I am now running a validator on all my pages that ensures that every word (or phrase) in the head block (title, keywords, and description) have sufficient word density in the page.

My sites were getting 200+ hits a day from MSN/Inktomi...now no where to be found. In fact, I called today to find out what is going on. In Google...top listings/PR7.

Without a doubt, Ink updated.
I am on the other end. My Inktomi placements have risen to the top on a site I revamped.
To early to tell why, however my focuse was on optimizing two pages per each search phrase. Along with other techiques that are totally spamless.
