Freshbot kills my homepage

Why do have have to click twice for my index?

I've asked about this maybe three times over recent months, and maybe nobody knows the answer. If anybody can think of a makeshift solution - eg changing my index to mydomain.com/default, going all out for density or something - I'd be grateful.

Essentially, I hold #1 position for my keywords - by a mile. Except that possibly the #2 has greater crude keyword density. I am in #1 position on all engines and have more than 100 anchored internal links deploying the keywords.

But when freshbot comes by, my index disappears, to be replaced by the #2 site. IF I CLICK THE GOOGLE SEARCH BUTTON A SECOND TIME, howeverm, my page reappears. This is NOT a browser problem. This is NOT at my end. It occurs on all browsers, IE, Netscape, plus www2 www3, other people's computers etc

Weirdly, I can click twice in the morning, the index remains in place perhaps for hours, then disappears, then I click twice again and it reappears and so forth. When freshbot's impact passes, my site restabilizes at the #1 position. This has been happening since I launched my site ten months ago.

Any thoughts anyone? It's driving me crazy.
