redirect hijacking?

google's redirecting to another site instead of mine.

i don't know if this is hijacking or a mix-up at google.

i have a few domains that i redirect to my main site.
before, if you typed-in one of any of those domains, google used to redirect to my main site. now after the latest update, google redirects to another guy's site, which has absoultely nothing to do with what my site is about. however, if i type these same domains directly into the address bar, they redirect properly to my site. since this exact same thing is happening to all my forwarded domains, i'm wondering if this a google mix-up or some really slick way of overwriting my listings in google.

any ideas?

Explain the issue in more detail. What, how, and where are you redirecting to your site?

Why should google have the redirect domain listed in the first place?

Have you checked your PC for slimeware with SpyBot, AdAware or similar?

well, for example, i own:

xxxxx.com
yyyy.com
ww-zzzz.com
rrrr.net
ttt.us

all of these generic domains redirect to my main site uuuu.org.

before, everything worked fine: if you did a search for yyyy.com, google showed my site with the url http : // www. uuu. org. if you clicked on that link you were taken to my uuuu.org site.

yesterday, i noticed that google now pulls up someotherguysdomain.com.

yet, when i type yyyy.com directly into the address bar (in mozilla), i am taken directly to my uuuu.org site.

if a keyword search for yyyy only pulled the other guy's site up, i'd figure he just out-seo'd me. but since his site is coming up when i type yyyy.com (as well as my other domains) i'm a little concerned.

have you ever heard of anything like this before?

Do your (spammy) domains even come up in Google? using "site:xxxx.com -blah"

Some optimizers use outgoing links to external domains to optimise a page, by linking to succesful (PR or otherwise) sites related to their theme.
Sounds like your competitor is linking to your domains, to re-inforce his/her own theme. This is most often done in a cloaked version or some invisible part of a page of course..the intent is not to direct traffic to you..so you might not see the actual links.

I agree with the earlier suggestion that you could have been dropped because of redirecting users to another site. I have also seen domains dropped from the index simply because they had no inbound links.

If I understand what you are saying, this could be a problem with your nameservers.. I have had that happen before and I forget what the precise cause was but it had something to do with nameservers. You are saying that the link has the correct URL, but when you click it it goes to another website completely. Right?

Perhaps your competitor is SEOing on "yyyy.com" because he wants to borrow your brand. It happens all the time, usually to the great benefit of high-priced copyright/trademark lawyers.
