PR for google from another engine

how much does it count?

Hello Everyone!

I snatched a domain that someone let expire.
It shows up on an alltheweb search for an obscure search term. The google toolbar shows a PR of 8 for the alltheweb page that is returning the results.

Is that gonna help my PR? the page that is ranked is a page that doesnt exist on my new site--

mysite.com/mysite/whatever.html

is the page that is in the alltheweb results.
I made it redirect to my main index page.

what is the best way to handle it? to get the most out of relevancy, if its worth anything.

Do a search for "expired domain penalty" google will give you no credit for the links. You are basically going to be starting with a handicap at best.
