How can you have 30,000 pages on your site?

a mystery -- how do you do it?

I've seen several webmasters on this board write about fantastic numbers of pages on their sites -- 10, 20, 30,000. I've been working hard on our site for two years and I've only managed to add about 2,000 pages to the original 500 when I took over. There is still plenty of content to post--if I could find the time--, but I'm just wondering how it is possible for others to be creating pages at such a breakneck pace.

I have an informational site that currently has a little under 50 pages, it's all maintained and written by me and is a PR7 in less than 2 years. Actually it first reached PR7 in around a year and a half.

I add about 1 or 2 new pages of content a month now, so it will take me a while before I get to 30,000. =]

There are over 30,000 pages in our company's ecommerce catalog site. The number of pages in the Google index just went from 27,000 to 30,000+ in the last update.

If your infrastrucure is set up corrctly, it is not very difficult to build and index sites of this size. I could easily add 30,000 more pages if necessary.

Well, I run a newspaper website. We could post dozens of new pages every day but actually we do not put all content online. Still, at about 15 or 20 new pages per day six days a week they add up.

I know of a site that is ALL affiliate links, primarily using amazon web services. They have several other affil programs but there is NO original copy. 155,000 pages contain this term in the curren google db. I am trying my hardest to figure out how this guy is doing it and I will figure it out, but jeesh, maybe he is just lucky. If anyone wants the url you can sticky me.

30,000 pages is NOTHING! Today I created 14,203 unique .shtml files, each with it's own content, like reviews and images.
