I have developed a site for a client (completed in November). The site was picked up by Google, had a PR of 4 and was near the top for relevant searches.(the site was for a hotel in a small town - so not much competition for specific searches).

In the last few months the site has been dropped completely and has a PR of 0. Although it is not very well optimised for google (flash navagation etc) surely it should still be included somewhere?

If it has be penalised in some way then i don't know why - is there a hope for getting it back in - or should they change their name!

Thanks for reading

Craig

PS. Why is DMOZ so damn sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooow?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

Does your site show backlinks when searching for the domain in Google? How many backlinks if they are there...?

I've had things get 'dropped' from Google, for glitches and what not, no need to panic.

Just make sure the content is quality, can be spidered (for example, Google won't extract the text from swf files, just the links) so the flash aspect of the site might make it difficult for Google to index properly.

However, given that it was included and now 'seems' to have disappeared, perhaps some other members can give you a few more ideas on what to look for.
