Will this change the link:www.yahoo.com resaults?

Let's say I add a link to [yahoo.com...] on 30,000 files, and the freshbot comes along and makes an update to 5,000 of them. Would that change the resaults from 692,000 to 697,000? Or does it only update those when it does the monthly update?

I think the backlinks only change with the monthly update. But I'd better let someone else with more experience confirm that.

Yes, the backlink numbers do not change whatsoever between updats.

Grrr! The idea that I has was to add Yahoo links on about 25,000 files about a week before we all started hoping for the dance, and then watch every one go bonkers over the number change after the freshbot did it's job! :):):)
