G includes page size in K next to the cache in search reults. Does this only change when deep craweled or can freshbots recognise a change & display this?

I am pretty sure that I have the seen the page size increase by freshbot before, hasnt done in a while for me though as I never make huge changes to the page, just a few links added/deleted :)

thanks craig...

I'm looking for more of a decrease as have been putting a few of our sites on a diet and trimming images etc...

just seems like the page size cache hasnt changed even once visited by the fresh bots.

The cache size is for raw html only. The google main bot doesn't touch iamges (or care about them) Although teh image bot does.

thanks killroy - so when google advises that a page be no greater than 100k - is that in "raw html" terms or the page as a whole including images?

I can confirm that freshbot changes it - did some major changes to a few sites last Friday and the cached size changed on Sunday when Freshbot picked it up.

It is raw HTML as the Googlebot doesnt actualy call the images at all. It leaves the to the imagebot.
