Monitoring link outs from backlinks

I want to add the functionality to record the link outs from my reciprocal links and want to use:

[mydomain.com...]

Will this count as a backlink for my link partners or will they remove my link if its like this.

I use PHP header function to redirect once clicked after incrementing the counter.

Any ideas?

It won't count as a backlink on Google. Inktomi will count it.
