View Results As Slideshow

This is something new.

Just did a search on Google and in the top right corner had a link that said "View results as a slideshow".

Did another search and it was gone.

Has anyone else seen this?

Yes, I've seen it a month or so ago. I found it pretty annoying, and only tried it once. It would take you to each site, in a slide show effect. You would get a certain number of seconds to view each site, then it would send you to the next one in the results. I believe it was done in frames, with a Google navigation frame at the top, so you could stay at a certain site if you liked what you saw.

of course, I've just done a few searches myself, and I have no idea how I found it. I know the search I used when I discovered it before, and it is no longer there. So I am not sure why it only appears sometimes. I also checked the advance search settings, and it wasn't there either.

I remember a thread, but I guess I really don't, about different Google subdomains and one of them was this. Unfortunately, I often suffer from CRS, so the subdomain and thread have escaped.

mbennie, I haven't seen the link you mention. Next time you see it, make a screenshot ;-)

The 'slide show viewer' can be found at [labs.google.com ]

I found it pretty annoying myself. I guess it might be helpful for the disabled searcher in some cases. I like the keyboard search utility.

I haven't seen the "View results as a slideshow" before though.
