Dynamic Confusion!

Hi,

I'm a newbie to the forum. I've spent the last week reading everything I can here - time I should've spent on my sites.

I read with interest the posts about dynamic content. I understand that sessions aren't acceptable but I'm totally confused otherwise.

I've done a little research and there are big sites with thousands of pages in Google with "messy" URLS which adds to the confusion when people here warn against this type thing.

So would a URL similar to the 2 below be acceptable to Google or not?

ezc/index.php?topgroupid=1&groupid=5

ezc/index.php?topgroupid=1&groupid=5&subgroupid=&contentid=2

What's got me concerned about this is that I finally found a little CMS to help me, after a very long search, with my sites but that's the URLs it gives you. And I need all the free search engine traffic I can get eventually.
