is there any basis for concern?

Noting how the SERP is highly dependant on the title of a web page, In determining whether to change titles, I would like to know if there is any reason to be concerned that this will lower PR or cause other issues with Google.

Thanks

Hi,

Changing the title tag certainly won't lower the PR of your web site.

The only point I would make is to make sure that the new title contains the keywords you are looking to be found under.

The title is very important. (in most cases)

It won't lower you PR, but it can surely affect your SERP's.

If your changing it, be sure to include your targeted keywords in it.

I would expect rate-of-change could be an issue. That is, if you changed your title 10 times in a month after only changing it 3 times per month for a period previously.
