First, check your robots.txt file and any on-page meta robots tags you may use. Make sure you are not telling the spiders to keep out, either intentionally, or through an error of omission.
I can't figure out exactly what you mean by "not officially indexed by Google." As a result, diagnosing your problem is not possible. If you have had your site on-line for two months with incoming links from other sites that Google knows about, then you have a problem. If either of those are not true, then don't worry about it. It takes a month to get listed by Google's deep-crawler, and if you miss the deadline by one second, then it can take two months. In the meantime, the freshbot comes by and lists you for a while, and then drops you and may re-list you again, just to tease you and drive you crazy.
Here's a Googlebot: Deepbot and Freshbot FAQ and Information [webmasterworld.com] post that might prove useful.

While it seems like years it has probably been since the beginning of Feb. that I started getting links and only in the past 4 weeks that I've gotten most of my links. None of my links show up yet, so I am hoping this update will help and that I got them in time. I have a PR of 5, and I have no idea of how that happened. Is there a chance the update, when it happens will help? thanks, Renee
