Last index we went from a PR7 to 6, with the help of member here I noticed over 2000 pages listed from someone who owns another domain and is linking to our homepage. Same content our homepage/his header) on all pages.

We dont link to him... can this hurt us bad? We really dont link to anyone and he drives a lot of traffic.

If it is, then whats the cure?

Hi talismon

Use a tool like Visualroute to identify his hoster and upstream providers. Then email them all and demand they remove his site and block his site's IP address for breach of copyright.

Then once they have done this, stickymail me for the link syntax for my site link (to put on your home page) ;-)

According to Google acts done by someone else, like links to you, can never hurt you.

so it possible to steal page rank from some one
by duplicating content and linking to them?

PR is based on incoming links. As far as I know there is no way to steal incoming links.

Maybe it is to build a duplicate site, and then report the real site for duplicate content?

I would have their hoster / upstream provider block it.
