Google bots stopped coming

I used to be fairly highly ranked in Google (3 or 4 months ago) and I am not being indexed at all now.

I believe the reason for this is I pulled down the majority of the content for about 2 months and left the links. I believe this led to numerous 404 errors and the eventual removal from Google index.
But everything has been re-organized now.

The site has now been redesigned and the errors are now alleviated.

One of the problems may have been a redirect 404 page without a robots.txt file but I fixed that.

I got listed in a couple of directories and for a very short period of time a search for my domain name would bring up the link page but that seemed to disappear quick too.

I wonder if I have been banned how can I find out so I can rectify the problem.

Any other advice would be appreciated.

I sent an email to Google March 2nd I have recieve no replies.

WebmasterWorld Welcome and Guide to the Basics
[webmasterworld.com]

Have a read of these threads and it might give some light:

Google Updates and Everflux, the Monthly Mid-Cycle Changes [webmasterworld.com]

Googlebot: Deepbot and Freshbot FAQ and Information [webmasterworld.com]

The update should be in a few days and I think that your site may be listed in the index once again.

Hi Gweston,

You shouldn't be posting your URL on WebMasterWorld but, as it was shown, I had a look at your homepage source .
(edit your post to remove the specifics, anyway)

You have a duplicate content on the same page: twice the <head> and twice the <body> parts...
Drop me a sticky for details as we're not supposed to do site reviews (it's against the TOS)

This means that freshbot picked you up more than likely, you may be in this update or you may have to wait untill the end of this month begining of May.

For more on freshbot have a read of that thread I quoted :)
