I need your opinion about Alexa. What is with information about my site on Alexa (personal information, links etc.)? Is that important for Google PR?

Don't forget that every IE install on Windows is sending Alexa data - unless you delete it's registry key...

Hence, Korean results? Top 500

How come Yahoo are top, if MSN have control of Alexa?
I'm sure the vast majority will not go into the register.

Sorry ...regards PR, any link is good from a worthwhile source, but is Alexa a good source, It is copy-cat resource, so no I doubt it.
OK fire away!

Not so much directly, but indirectly yes. If your site climbs up into the top 3-4k'ish, it will get more visibility and that will lead to more links. Also, the link from the info page on Alexa is being indexed by Google. Thus, it's a good link and does count.

Isn't that the same of having a good PR link fron DMOZ, Yahoo etc?

All I meant was is, "Alexa Data Is Flawed"! - no question, and even they themselves agree.

Indirectly maybe, but we could argue about that forever

Brent, I'm not sure why you posted that Alexa is spying on you unless you edit the Windows registry.

That page you referenced clearly states "If you don't use the 'Show Related Links' menu links, and if you haven't installed any extra Alexa stuff then you are NOT in danger of being spied upon".

That's just what they want you to think - it's probably too late for you - unless you have lead siding on your house - do you?

Alexa link is as good as any other link. Alexa is a good measure of the popularity of a site. If for example you are after recruiting affiliates, Alexa would be a good measure of a candidate. As to counting back links, I prefer to use AllTheWeb (link.all:www.your-site.com)
