I have top page ranking in Google on several (geographically specific) keyword phrases on several different web sites. Whenever I add a page to my site or edit any part of it I notice that my home page is dropped from Googles ranking for all of my important keyword phrases. I've also noticed that other home pages on other web sites, which I developed for clients and linked to my site, drop out on their keywords at the same time. Even though they were not edited. Some of the other pages within the sites seem to retain their position on their keyword phrases, and some pages drop out with the home pages. All of the pages will usually come back into the rankings together, a few days later. I understand about the freshbot and main page bot, and the dance. Can someone please explain this phenomenon to me and tell me what I can do to prevent being dropped every time I edit or add a new page? Thanks in advance, Steve.
