Do you see any problems in using domain.com, domain.fr and domain.de for the three
stores, or could I get banned from Google for having three sites with the same site
structure?
Also I am wondering if I should go for local hosting. This would be more expensive
and more difficult to administrate. Should I still do it? Is it really going to
help me?
Will I get a worse ranking if I host them all on the same server under the same
IP address? If not, what kind of redirect should I use? DNS or 301 or ...?
Should I register the domains to different people, because I read that Google checks
the WhoIs, and if content is not very different, and the domain registered to the
same person, it would hurt ranking.
Some pages do not contain a lot of content (may only a short description of the
product and the price). Should I add some random text info in the proper language to
increase the difference of the HTML Code? I could figure out something, that would
also benefit the customers.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Most webhost can make that you are on diffrent servers with diffrent ip's ask them and i dont see any problem for them to get you on diffrent servers

I have never done that i have no experience for that but i cant see the problems for the same contact person.

Yes

As long as the pages have different content, there is no problem. Since you are using descriptions in different laguages, I think it's ok.

No.

I don't see a problem for Google. However, local NICs may require local people for registration.

The national Googles (e.g. google.fr, google.co.uk) can search for results on servers located in that specific country, partly through domain suffix (.fr, .uk) but also through the IP address of the server.
This is quite clever stuff, so in theory if your .com server is in France, Google will know this anyway. Handy if you can't get the domain you want.
There's a flipside to this cleverness though.. most of my sites cater for a US market but are hosted in the UK. I get a lot of traffic from google.co.uk which end up on pages with products only for US delivery.

OK. I can do this. It will be more difficult to set up. But it seems to be
worth it. Then I will go for different TLDs. The country domains are still
available. Domains will then be registered to the same person.

I did not know, that the hosting location had that much impact on the
results. Thank you for your input!
Another thing is that of course all sites will have a link to the homepage
of the other two stores, so that users who find the wrong site through the
search engines, can see the page in their own language. I won't get into
trouble doing this, will I? I might be adding one or two other country
sites somewhen in the future. Could I get in trouble for linking to four
or five different language sites? I hope not. Many sites are doing this!
