How often does Google update from DMOZ?

I have a site that made it into the open directory sometime after Christmas but it didn't appear in the Google directory after the recent update.
I read somwhere that there had been problems in DMOZ. How often does Google update from this source or is that like asking how long is a piece of string?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com], jon80.

Conventional wisdom says that Google updates its directory at the same time they update their web index, traditionally about once a month. ODP had problems generating the RDF [rdf.dmoz.org] file of its database last fall. These were finally corrected earlier this year, but not in time for the last update. So perhaps in the next couple of weeks?

The directory updated last month, at least in all the cats I checked.

Normally Google updates it after the Google Dance. But ODP had problems to generate a new RDF between September last year and Februari.

When you look at the Google updated its directory - Took six months [webmasterworld.com] thread, you can see the Google Directory was updated around March 12. Google will have used an RDF dump made somewhere in Februari. Maybe you have to wait until after the next Google Dance (should start in a week or so), for the next update of the Google Directory.

Hmm, perhaps some areas changed but not others? Or they're still delivering different versions? Some ODP categories I had renamed in February are still showing their old names in the Google Directory.

The first thread reporting a successful RDF was on January 31 [webmasterworld.com] but that was about a dump without "Category IDs". This catid problem was solved on February 13 [webmasterworld.com]. But builing a new RDF takes around a week. So if Google used this RDF, it is very well possible that you cannot find the category changes in February by choster in Google Directory.
