Hi,

I'm doing some research into search engine queries and was wondering if anyone knew of any search engines that use google's exact search results. I thought www.iwon.com did but the results seem slightly different.

Any ideas?

Many thanks, Lee

I have never heard of a Google partner using google's exact search.

I wish Google and their partners did offer that option instead of the I'm feeling lucky button though.

What exactly is the point of the "I'm feeling lucky button"
I can't see the advantage under any circumstances.

I think its main function is to communicate Google's irreverently jokey personality.

It's there if you trust google completely and believe that the no 1 positioned website will satisfy your needs :-)

I could live without the quirky humour if they put an all the web type exact search button there instead.
You get tired of the "".

Not particularly helpful, but if you were searching for "blue widgets" you only need the first "

Google then assumes the whole query is a phrase. Obviously this won't work for "blue widgets" UK or similar queries.

I quite like 'i'm feeling lucky'. I use it from time to time, and it's a good way of looking at sites that I would ordinarily have passed over while scanning the SERPs.

it's also useful if you have/use the previous/next results button on the toolbar, you can just get stuck straight in...

I always thought it had the added benefit of going straight to a site that would definately come up first, but you forgot the URL.

For example you want to go to Slashdot. You remember the address is not slashdot.com (officially) but don't know the exact url. Hit the lucky button and save yourself a click on the serp.
