Attracting the Freshbot

how do you get the freshbot to recognize frequent updates?

When I first launched my sites, the freshbot came every day. But I only updated them every few weeks, and so it stopped coming, except occasionally to the index page with the highest PR.

Now my sites are updated every day, but because the freshbot isn't visiting me regularly, it's never going to know this.

How can I attract the freshbot back to my sites for a few days in a row so that it can see that they are now being frequently updated?

Leave out milk and cookies. ;) For a serious answer, it seems to depend a lot on PR. My main site has a PR6 home page, and the Freshbot usually grabs that, and usually a few internal pages, daily. Although, some days it didn't come. As I doubt Google has me on some sort of watch lists of sites they don't trust, I'll have to assume that this normal for a site with my PR. The freshbot definitely can pick up new content fast. I added a links to other sites page recently, which is linked to off the home page, and that was in Google within a day.

What is the PR of your sites? If you can't get that up higher to induce freshbot, then I'd suggest doing minor noodling of the home page daily. This may attract the attention of freshbot.
