Hi there,

i want to create subdomains for my website (e.g. xxx.mysite.com) and refer people to different parts of the site that way instead of to individual pages like mysite.com/xxxx.html. The problem is that the way i set things up I have SEs hitting certain directories for certain terms relating to that content on my site. I will have to completely move around all my files and change the referring URLs (where possible) from pages linking to my site. Also, all of my intenal links will be remapped. Will this totally wipe me out in google? Any advice on how to do this with a minimal amount of loss is appreciated!

Hi Andrew,
if someones hit old location (domain.xx/file.ext) you have to send him header with HTTP code 301 Permanently moved, and new location of the file. Then it could be OK.
