www.internet-advertising-marketing-manual.com/pagerank.htm look at the facsimile near the top of the page. It is signed by Lawrence Page, Sergey Brin and Craig Silverstein, but look at the bottom, it has also been autographed by the legendary guy (or gal) him/her self...

Yes... no... NOT... (but enjoying the pain and suffering). I maintain that "GoogleGuy" is something of an inside joke, something of an interested participant, something of a voyeur, something of a spy, something of a google nut, something of a technologist, something of an evangelist, something of a saint, something of a sinner. Probably all of them. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well it's conclusive then. Only one person talks like that. GoogleGuy must be shaggy from Scooby Doo.

GoogleGuy, I loved that you signed it! There may be other autographs of Sergey and Lawrence out there, but I think I've got the only GoogleGuy Autograph out there ;)

if you're really determined to find out who google guy is use his signature to compare the handwriting, ofcourse you'd also have to sneak into google and grab a piece of paper with everyone's writing on it, and not get those pieces muddled up lol!

sneak into google and grab a piece of paper with everyone's writing on it

that won't work if Craig signed it with his non-dominant writing hand. :)

There may be other autographs of Sergey and Lawrence out there, but I think I've got the only GoogleGuy Autograph out there

What about Craig's? Who was scribbled in as an afterthought? Who has the heaviest hand on the paper? Craig & GG.

yup they both appear to have heavy hands but the writing style is different, and to smooth to be done with the non-dominant hand, unless craig is ambidextrous and purposely changed hands and writing style

Surley someone knows someone that works for Google who knows who he or she is. It must be semi common knowledge around the office. Lets face it.....it would be impossible to post to the forum the way GG does without saying to a co worker or two, "Hey guys, Look what i wrote about the next update......now watch these people go nuts for hours (no make that days) trying to work out when it's happening."

That would be too much fun.....I'm sure half the Googleplex get a regular kick out of logging into forum 3.

Therefore, there must be a few people at Google who know who he is. Find them.......and you find the GoogleGuy!

Otherwise, I'll find out who he is and trade the information for SEO work on my site that lands me on page 1 of Google for my important keywords.

If there are any takers....let me know....cause then i'll have to work out how the heck i'm going to pull it off :)

Methinks keeping the ID of GG a secret is written into the Google NDA in much the same way as "not leaving the algo scribbled on a napkin in McDonalds" is.

For what its worth I'm sorry I poked the anthill gents....

I hate to pull this back up, but in the Spirit of April Fool's, maybe it will awaken Doogle Gerg & he'll hit the button instead of the snooze.

I recenlty found GGs 1st post; "zoiks" stuck out like a sore thumb. Shirley, there CAN'T be more than a few people walking this planet that use this "word" like OFTEN. OK, maybe all 3 work at Google.

Speaking of April Fool's.. skipfactor, with all the stuff going on in the world lately, I wouldn't be surprised if we held off on doing anything for April Fool's this year.

That would be a wise course of action for the whole web.

I'm with skipfactor on this one....

/sigh

I was looking forward to some good April Fools stuff on the net this year.

Granted I think it would be distasteful, in the extreme, to have an April Fools that has a tie-in to current world events, that said...

An April Fools 'event' is simply a comedic event. In times of trouble (generically) people take a few different personal approaches. Some dwell in the trouble, taking it in, others look for an 'escape', still others are in the middle.

Comedy can provide a release; even in the wake of 9-11 comedians (after a respectful pause) continued on as they felt, and I tend to agree, that their contribution to society allows us, for even a brief moment, to enjoy something and let the 'troubles' fall by the wayside.

Yes, they'll still be there in the morning, but I can tell you this -- I spent many a dollar at the DC Improv when I lived in Northern VA, especially following 9-11.

Sometimes we all just need a good laugh.

(Or to get back on track with this topic: A good Conspiracy. :)
