Do high rankings in MSN have any effect on Google? Does it increase your PR? Is MSN considered a quality inbound link?

I got a few top 3 rankings in MSN and Looksmart rather quickly, but I'm waiting around for the ODP listing. Don't really want to pay Yahoo $299. Just wondering what how I can get recognized by the Googlebot on the next crawl.

Thanks.

The results pages from search engines are not generally indexable; they only come into existence when you run a search.

High rankings on a engine may attract visitors who give you links from their sites (and therefore PageRank), but in the context of your question I would say that the answer is no.

They have an effect on each other.
