Notice changes in SERP with this update?

Was the algo considerably different in the latest update? Enough to significantly impact SERP?

hmm, what is the question? If I do understand the question, then yes the algo changed (and thus rankings changed) considerably this last update. More so, than just about any update since last fall. That's part of the point of the update - to change rankings.

Or did you mean the type of display?

The last update made little change in how my pages come up in the serps on key words but my oldest site's homepage lost PR from 7 to 6. It also lost a around 100 backlinks. I think it was a part of an adjustment to keep old sites from having an advantage. Mine was started in 1996. I sure wish I knew which links they dropped. I'm just curious how they did it.

I noticed a PR drop with relatively little change in links, especially on one site, but didn't personally experience any loss in rankings. The most noticeable drop gained position.

Could be either link rot (pages linking to you no longer exist) or perhaps some of those pages fell below a PR4. They'd still count but not be "counted"/shown in the link count.

Yes, I meant the page rankings. I am trying to get a handle on the loss of traffic I have seen that started about March 5th and has continued to drop.

The war probably has had an impact on traffic, but instead of blaming all of it on the war, I am also investigating changes in page rankings.

If anyone has insight into what might best suit the new algo for ranking that would be most appreciated.
