Does a Yahoo listing count for anything on Google?

Or should I say "Anything Much"

Does anyone know if a Yahoo directory listing counts for anything over and above a standard link (according to the PR of the page / category it is on, divided by the PR of that page)?

I've never seen any indication it has any special value. I know Googleguy once commented an ODP link has no extra weight. Thus, I'll assume the same for Yahoo!

I am truly amazed, but somehow not (these days).

All pages are subject to the same algorithm. Having said that, many people believe an ODP or Y! listing will help to ensure you are crawled since they may be where GoogleBot starts its indexing.

From Google's webmaster guidelines.

Google partners on the Web include Yahoo! and Netscape. If you are having difficulty getting listed in the Google index, you may want to consider submitting your site to either or both of these directories. You can submit to Yahoo! by visiting [docs.yahoo.com...] You can submit your site to Netscape's Open Directory Project (DMOZ) by visiting www.dmoz.org. Once your site is included in either of these directories, Google will often index your site within six to eight weeks.

Just the other day GoogleGuy asked in this thread [webmasterworld.com], "Are the domains you mentioned in the ODP?"
No mention of Yahoo!. hmmmm

Probably because far more sites are listed in the ODP. While a lot of business sites will want an ODP listing, many decide that Yahoo! ain't worth $299 a year. My guess is Google mentions that because the ODP and Y! happen to be places where they know for sure they will spider.
