Hello Everyone,
This is what happened to me recently.
About a month ago, I submitted my sites to google. 2 weeks later, before the big update, one of my sites hit #19 under a keyword I was targeting. I read on here that was just freshbot, and my site would probably drop after the big update.
Well, when the big update hit, I moved up to #12. Friday, all my sites disappeared including the ranked one.
I had them formated link this:
keyword1.mydomain.com
keyword2.mydomain.com
keyword3.mydomain.com
I have just those 3. Say keyword3 was ranked decent, the others were indexed, not ranked high.
I put reciprocal links to one another on each site, is that illegal?
All of them have disappeared, except the main domain,
www.mydomain.com.
Have I been dropped?

The dreaded circular linking structure...

Google doesn't like circular cross-linking....

What's your PR in the toolbar? If it's "gray", you have been kissed with the death wish...

I will check it out, I downloaded the toolbar once, and it messed up my computer, but will try again.
Would I better suited doing this:

www.mydomain.com/keyword.1.html

www.mydomain.com is still in the index.

its a bummer because I made some deals to have other sites linked to me.

You most likely are fine. Was your site up by Feb 7? Did it have incomeing links at that time?

If the answer to either of these questions is no, then you probably need to wait till the next update. Those were most likely more freshbot listings

Dave,
No my sites were submitted about Feb 15 or later.
Its odd how one site hit #19, the big update hit, and went to #12, and disappeared Friday.
You dont think Ive been banned? I type in the URL on google and it returns no matches, doesnt that mean my sites are out?

I saw them all briefly, when I typed in my URL, did it again and they were gone, except for my main www.mysite.com

Freshbot estimates where it thinks you should go in relation to the current index. When the index changed, so did your estimated position.

If you got some links to your site by around March 8, you should be good for the next update.

The only good submitting your site will do is get you a freshbot visit. To make it in the update you need to be in the deep crawl at the beginning of the month, and it needs to find some links coming to your site.
