Google is showing url's that look like this:

www.google.com/url?sa=U&start=1&q=http://www.domain.com/&e=747

rather than:

www.domain.com

Do a google search for anything and mouseover a link to see what i mean...

Don't see it ...
US: www www2 www3

Everything is still normal on this end, Google playing with user tracking a little bit maybe?

"Google playing with user tracking a little bit maybe?"

That's a definite possibility. It's only in search results and not in the Directory atleast.

Yea, what came to mind was Yahoo!s redirect when you mentioned it actually.

Anyone else have any insight on this?

Yep, it looks almost exactly like Yahoo's redirects. And I'm still seeing it! Somebody tell me I'm not the only one seeing it!

Which brings up another question. Why would I be the only one seeing these new redirected URL's in Google search results and not anyone else?

I'm just using the regular google.com, not www2 or www3 or anything. Maybe has something to do with location? I'm from Northern California, about 100 miles from Google headquarters.

I've seen this before, but not often ... I think they sometimes take random samples of clickthrough rates as one more way to verify the usefulness of the results.

They're gone now... Back to normal... That was shortlived. ;)

They do this periodically - I see these kinds of refs in my logs every once in a while.

Too bad it's over, PFOnline. Since google was tracking you and looking for good search results I was about to send you a list of keyword's to run and the proper URL's to pick out of the results and click... :-)

LOL, I was sure to click on my site a couple times, with that weird tracking URL. ;) Knowing full well, it probably wouldn't do anything.
