Google not spidering my sites?

I've got links, I've submitted them, what else?

I've got a couple sites that I submitted to Google in Jan and they still haven't even been spidered. In Feb, I added links to them from a couple other sites that are frequently spiderd by Google so they would be found, but nothing.

It's not like Google is finding something they don't like and banning my site because it doesn't even hit the index. I've had other sites submitted since then and they are now indexed in Google where my first sites haven't even been spidered yet.

I've even tried resubmitting, and I thought maybe it was the server or something but they are on different servers, (I don't know a lot about what problems the servers might cause). So does anybody have any ideas because I have exhausted my resources and need some help!

a couple of links wont help unless there high in pr, Go link hunting and find yourself some pr 4's and up. Link as many sites as you can that have relative information to your own site! This takes time and effort. If you get turned down alote, dont give up, keep searching for links!

I just want Google to find my site, they have deep crawled some of the other sites that link to these ones and I thought when Google deep crawls a site, they would follow all the links on there. I don't neccessarily need the link popularity for the page rank right now, I just want my site found.

The more links you have pointing to your site the better the chances of the freshbots finding you, which in turn sends the deep crawlers.

do your links need to be from a page with a lot of page rank though, or will they find it even if its a low page rank link.

Make SURE you have good interlinking. Meaning- have a good website Map. Just links work OK for spiders, but adding page title/short description is better for visitors and may even get some SERPs for you.

If you have a site map- and at least 1 link- Google _should_ index your pages.

I had just one link and a site map and was indexed in first month- site was visible if I searched my domain name- but was NOT active in any SERP. It took another month for the site to come alive in actual search results.

Do you have a ROBOTS.TXT file? Or Robots meta tags?

Was it an expiried domain you bought that has a penalty?

I think as far as just spidering you it doesn't need to be a high PR link.

What is different about this site/domain than your others?

no robot.txt

how can i check if it was an expired domain thats penalized?

nothing is different that i can think of.

we decided that we will try it on another domain because i thought about that expired domain idea but i didn't know how to check it and we just started the site so its not a problem to move it. but we are going to keep the one we have now to see if we can get this one in there too. maybe it'll get indexed quicker than the new on.

As much as this might take some time, try getting a couple of links in DMOZ. It might very well help out.

Even if your site has been online if it is not linked from other sites which are indexed either a few high PR sites or a lot of low pr sites then your site will take some time to get listed.

DMOZ is a good way to go for listing.
