I see that I'm listed in the new category as well as the old one I was dropped from on dmoz.

Now that I look again, I see it's changing between the old and new.

The new directory can be seen at directory-ex.google.com

I see a new directory at directory-ex.google.com, but those PR bars do not seem to match the latest update's toolbar results. Looks like old PR values with a new dmoz dump to me. Half way there, I guess!

I'm seeing the same thing. My site is showing a PR6 in the directory but a PR5 in the toolbar.

Do we think this means the PR6 is more up to date, or is the PR5 the correct rank? I hope this means I'm soon going to jump to PR6 :)

Fingers crossed.

From the areas in ODP that I monitor, the dump currently on directory-ex looks like one from sometime in December. Maybe all areas of the directory aren't updated yet?

mmdesign, I think the PR on the toolbar doesn't always match the PR in the directory.

It is from at least January. I believe my site went in on January 2. It was not in during the last week of December.

Great, I have made it in to the Google thing after 6 months in Dmoz. I'm really pleased after waiting for long.

I have one Q though - My site has the same PR as most in the "Group" but placed 2. How is this? Is there "big" and "small" 6 or is by random?

Don't get me wrong - I am so pleased - but would like to find out. Any ideas?

I have a site that was in ODP on 12/29 and another on 12/30, but neither are in the new google directory (on -ex). So maybe the directory is not fully updated yet...

Ok, now I see more recent results on -ex. Looks like an ODP dump from mid-February. Looks great!

(Guess we'd better wait a while, it's flipping back and forth as coconutz noted.)

Say it ain't so...
My site has been in the Google Directory for months, but it has been at the bottom of the list with no page rank bar. I've been patiently awaiting the Directory update -- thought that would fix things (last time I checked on a PC, the site had a page rank of 7). Now I see new entries into the Directory category (with rank bars), but I'm still at the bottom with no bar. Aaaah!
Any ideas? Will this change as the update continues?

I see the updated directory as well - but why _do_ some pages have no bar at the bottom? The category I'm interested in has some well-established sites that previously were listed with bars - but now, nada, and they are at the bottom of the heap.

I am feeling lucky too as my site has also been included after two months of inclusion in DMOZ. But it is showing Jan, 2003 results as description for my site was changed in February, 2003. Anyway, its great to have the site in Google Directory as well.

I've seen this a lot. So long as you have toolbar PR, your safe.

Thanks rfg,
It's just something about that blank bar...bugs me!

Does anyone know why I wouldn't show up as a result in a google directory search, yet I am now listed in the google directory. Is it just that the search results have not updated?

My DMOZ listing was updated on 19 Feb - change of URL - but that does not appear to be reflected in this update.

Not complaining, just trying to help anyone trying to pin down the date of the DMOZ dump...

I am sure it will be updated next time...

Does anyone know what date Google took the RDF dump from DMOZ, this might answer alot of questions?

creative craig,

From where I'm sitting, it looks like google took the Feb 13th ODP dump. I could be wrong.
