For the last week, I was getting an situation where my input boxes were being cleared or corrupted on Google while searching. A results page would come up, and I would start typing in the search box, and the box would be corrupted.

It finally hit me to check the new javascript they put on there recently. Yep, sure enough disable javascript and the errors go away.

Those using Opera, will have to disable js to use Google. That's the same situation with the js onfocus popup code Google has been running on Google Groups for about a year.

Brett, I'm not having a problem. What version of Opera are you running?

correction - It isn't browser dependent. It happens in IE and Moz too.

It's tough to see if you have a fast connection. Start a search and before the page finishes loading, try to type something in the query box. What you type will get erased and replaced with the old string when the page finishes loading.

That normally isn't a problem unless you are on a slow connection or there is network slowness. I get it almost every page view while using PocketPC, or while using a slow verizon (14.4) cell connection. I've had to delete my Google bookmark in pocketpc because of it - it simply isn't usable.
