I've noticed that google is crawling results from atw, metacrawler etc. This seems just plain weird to me, given that some of these engines get results from Google!

Ie, it seems like google is virtually crawling itself! Wouldn't that distort the rank of sites? Ie, pages that have a high google ranking and show up in a lot of searches will now get an exponential boost, since they are showing up in the base pages and also in the search results?

In a results page that I monitor I have two AskJeeves results pages above me taking the number one and two spot!
