Im started seeing many sites in my kw arena using this "link exchange" and doing very well. I wonder if they skirt the farm rule because its an "exchange"?

I get an email a day from these guys. Long term they have to be ignored by google. I suspect google will soon have a way of detecting sites that participate and their links pages will become pr0

They list all of the participating members on their website in the different topical categories. I think that as Google finds the new link pages they are discounted as I only see recent links page showing up in backlinks.

Their home page has a grey bar as well as all of the internal pages. I would suspect that Google is already aware of this....

It's easy to see who participates in that. There is a visible link on the website that points directly to that link farm. All Google has to do is search for the specific link on any domain and filter that way. Unfortunately, that hasn't been incorporated yet because there are many sites ranking well that obviously participate.

im wondering if this will be just ingmored by google, or penalized. Will it be seen as a link farm or exchange... and is there a difference in the eyes of google?
