I just checked my backlinks and www2 briefly listed me as having 30 backlinks instead of my previous 198! I sure hope that's not the update, cause if it is, I'm fsked.

Could be a further reduction in PR to allow for new pages in the update. Thus any pages with PR3 or less will no longer show as backlinks, even though they are still there and still count.

Pages with PR3 or less haven't been showing. Take it easy, hang in until the update happens and it all settles, which takes several days.

Make sure that you check with link:www.mydomain.com and NOT link: www.mydomain.com (NO blank between "Link:" and "your domain") I think the blank DID NOT matter before. I had the same shock as you! (from 918 to 193!) without the blank it is 918 again!
